Lilypads no. 3
These lilypad paintings, like my “captive audience” series and other colorful abstract paintings, give me the freedom to play with [experiment with] color and line. The impact of the finished piece is eye-catching, in my opinion, making the whole endeavor somewhat addictive. Gotta paint more of these! Haven’t picked up a brush in a few weeks. This one was prompted by the upcoming Memorial Day holiday (gave me an obvious subject matter to get me out of my painting slump). It’s nice and big. I like it.
