These lilypad paintings, like my “captive audience” series and other colorful abstract paintings, give me the freedom to play with [experiment with] color and line. The impact of the finished piece is eye-catching, in my opinion, making the whole endeavor somewhat addictive. Gotta paint more of these! (also watch the painting process video below and subscribe to my YouTube channel while you’re at it—-link is in the sidebar)

This large canvas would fit great above a mantle or sofa. I enjoyed experimenting with the color pallet on this one.

With veteran’s day coming up next week (and an art market tomorrow), I figured I’d paint a couple more of my American Flag paintings. One large. One small.

Haven’t picked up a brush in a few weeks. This one was prompted by the upcoming Memorial Day holiday (gave me an obvious subject matter to get me out of my painting slump). It’s nice and big. I like it.

This painting is the result of a painting challenge video I posted on my YouTube channel, also posted below. The challenge was to create a painting inspired by a blind contour drawing. This was the result.
