Captive Audience, diptych
Here’s a series I return to from time to time to hone my skills at color balancing and intuitive painting. I like the painting process and I like the look of the resulting painting. (video posted below)
Captive Audience, diptych, 2-24x24”, $1000
Echoes and Shadows
An interesting, quirky painting that started from a simple reference photo of a crowd on the street. The final touch that made it work for me, ultimately, was the addition of the shadows on the walls and abstract figures hidden in the clouds. I bounced around several titles, finally landing on the current one which somehow works (might start a new series based on this one).
Echoes and Shadows, 24x36", $700
captive audiences
Here are three paintings that weren't quite working for me. Instead of painting over them completely, I reworked them. I'm happy with them now and happy to share them [again, for the first time] here with you.
