 My 2023 New Year Resolutions

  • daily journal entry

  • cut out snacking between meals

  • go on a family camping trip this year (6/01—still need to plan for it)

  • get more sun (6/01—so far, I’m getting more sun than last year)

  • set one new resolution/goal every month

    • Jan—alternate eating within an eight hour eating window & eating one meal (A+)

    • Feb—no coffee (tea is okay) (A+)

    • Mar—workout sessions, twice a week (A+)

    • Apr—one sketch everyday (B . . . did sketches, but not EVERY day)

    • May—GTD re-implementation (B+)

    • Jun—writing goal: 30 writing sessions

    • Jul—(?)

  • read more books (vague but easily achievable, compared to recent years)

    • 3/5—The Turn of the Screw, by Henry James (novella, audiobook)

    • started The Mystery of the Yellow Room, by Gaston Leroux (novel, audiobook)

    • started reading Sea Storm, by Andrew Mayne (novel, kindle)

  • learn six new skills by the end of the year

    • 3/12—learned to make braided paracord belts

    • 3/20—learned 12 useful knots

    • 5/6—complete pull-ups for the first time

    • working on speed rope, five minutes straight

  • write a book by the end of the year
