All things considered I did a pretty good job on this watercolor of my son. Especially since this is only my third or fourth watercolor I've done. The mouth is a little sloppy and so are the eyes. But the good points far outweigh the bad. I added texture to the vest by adding salt to the final dark-brown glaze. If I had a smaller brush I could have acheived better eyes. The mouth problem was just sloppiness on my part---no use blaming yourself, you weren't even there---I could probably fix the mouth problem, come to think of it.
I'll probably get this one framed (maybe after cleaning up the mouth a bit) and present it to the wife for Christmas.
